About
Riley Roberts is a choreographer, dancer, director, and content creator working across musical theatre, television, live performance, and digital content. With over five years of professional industry experience, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling, seamlessly blending her diverse dance training into emotionally resonant performances for stage and screen.
In 2021, Riley was selected as one of Olivia Rodrigo’s assistant choreographers under Monika Felice Smith for her acclaimed VMA performance. She went on to assist Smith on projects for artists and brands including OneRepublic, Panic! at the Disco, SkinnyPop, CAAMP, and The Wallows. Her work as a movement director includes campaigns for Meta’s OCULUS, Harmless Harvest, and Caleb Hearn’s 2022 tour. Riley’s choreography was also featured in the Netflix film Straight Up.
An advocate for arts education, Riley has choreographed for institutions such as AMDA and the Orange County School of the Arts and contributed to a piece for Chapman University. She also served as talent coordinator and choreographer’s assistant on the pilot episode of CBS’s Come Dance With Me, collaborating with notable choreographers including Talia Favia, Cassidy Noblet, and Robert Roldan.
As a performer, Riley has danced for artists such as Half•Alive and appeared in Keone and Mari Madrid’s feature film Space and Time. She founded The Ardor Effect, a dance and film company based in Los Angeles, dedicated to crafting cinematic movement pieces that fuse visual storytelling with original choreography.
Riley holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Chapman University and is pursuing an MA in Screen Dance at The Place, London Contemporary Dance School. She is deeply passionate about expanding the presence of dance on film and aims to continue creating work that inspires, challenges, and connects through the universal language of movement.
